To be eligible for a Construction worker rebate you will need to meet the following requirements:
Each tax refund claim is reviewed individually. Fill out our tax claim form and answer a few simple questions to see if you're eligible.
The time it takes to receive your tax refund can vary. Typically, once you submit your claim, HMRC processes it within 8 to 12 weeks. However, this can be quicker or slower depending on their workload and the completeness of the information you provide. To help ensure a faster processing time, make sure all your details and documents are accurate and complete when submitting your claim. This includes authorising us as your Agent by completing the (64-8) form which we will supply.
Yes, you can claim a tax rebate for up to four previous tax years. We will work with you to make sure you provide us with accurate information and documentation for each year you are claiming.
No, your employer does not need to be informed about your tax rebate claim. The process is handled directly between you and HMRC. However, if HMRC adjusts your tax code because of your rebate, your employer will be notified of the new tax code to apply to your salary. This ensures the correct amount of tax is deducted moving forward. Rest assured, this is a routine process and does not require any direct involvement from your employer.
You can still claim a tax rebate if you've changed jobs or had multiple employers. You will need to make certain that you provide your P45 or P60 forms and any relevant payslips from each job to ensure an accurate claim.
We charge a fixed fee of 48%, which includes all charges, for the total tax refund we obtain for you from HMRC. This fee is only applicable after we have successfully received the refund from HMRC. We operate on a "no win, no fee" basis.
We usually require a P60. These will be requested as we need them but if you can find and prepare them in advance that will help to reduce the amount of time it takes to get your rebate.
No, claiming a rebate for travel to temporary work locations will not affect your tax code. The rebate is a refund of overpaid taxes and does not alter your tax code. Your tax code is used to calculate the amount of tax you pay in the current tax year, whereas a rebate adjusts for taxes paid in previous years. In some cases, your tax code may temporarily change after you receive a rebate. HMRC might adjust your tax code to reflect the rebate and ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax moving forward. This adjustment is usually temporary and helps prevent overpayment or underpayment of taxes in the future. Once your rebate is processed and your tax situation is balanced, your tax code should return to normal. If you have any concerns about changes to your tax code, you can contact us so we can raise this with HMRC on your behalf.
We partner with carefully selected accounting firms who have the expertise and relationship with HMRC to maximise your rebate in the quickest possible time.
All of our partners follow strict regulation to ensure we provide the very best and most accurate service. We operate on a no win-no fee basis, meaning you only pay a fee if your claim is successful. We have helped hundreds of people get their rebates, check out our TrustPilot
